We
hope you can come to a game or exhibition and cheer us on! If you are able to attend, you may want to bring a lawn
chair, brimmed hat, sunscreen, and beverage, as conditions will differ at the
events. Note; there will be bleacher seating at the Bolingbrook Tournament.
Beep Baseball Tournament in
Bolingbrook, IL
For the 7th year the Bolingbrook Lions Club will be hosting a
Beep
Baseball Tournament - June 14 & 15, 2008. Blind Beep Baseball teams
from across the country will be competing in the “Bolingbrook Beep Baseball
Bash 2008”.
The games will be played on several fields, so each team will be playing at
each of the times below. Come out and see a game. The Comets will be fielding
two teams for this tournament. Look
for either Comets team in bright blue shirts and white pin stripe pants. Bring
the whole family, especially the kids -- between games we’ll give them a
chance to put on a blind fold and run to a buzzing base. It’s a lot of fun!
Game Times:
Saturday June 14th – 8:30am – 11:00am – 2:30 pm
Sunday June 15th - Championship Game – 8:00 am
Directions: Games will be played on fields located at the Bolingbrook
Recreation and Aquatic Complex (BRAC) located at Lilly Cache and Lindsey Lane.
From I-55 go north on route 53 to Lilly Cache then go west to Lindsey Lane.
Exhibition Games
These games are used as fundraisers for the team and also to promote
Beep Baseball. The games are played against teams of sighted individuals who
wear blindfolds and try to play and experience the game of Beep Baseball first
hand. It’s very challenging and a lot of fun! The following exhibition games have been scheduled.
